Half of this collection holds a plant and half holds cut stems, which is worth knowing before you order. The novelty ceramic plant pots here include a Hand of Hamsa pot, a fairy folklore print pot, a poisonous plants pot, a pond print pot supplied with its saucer, a black skull pot, a moon phase pot, a cream speckle bum pot and a carrot shaped pot that comes with parsley seed balls. Sitting alongside them are the vases: a white book shaped vase, a sweet ghost flower vase, a groovy ghost vase, a silver disco ball vase, a pink cowboy boot vase and a cream speckle single stem vase.
The terracotta group is the part of this range that will genuinely live outside. There is a terracotta sun pot, a Bloom Where You Are Planted pot, a Thank You For Helping Me Grow pot, and two bronze terracotta designs by Lisa Parker, Tree of Life and Moon Shadows. Three welly boot planters in red, dark green and light green complete the outdoor side, and a set of four slate gothic garden signs finishes the range. For more outdoor pieces see garden ornaments and the wider gardener gifts range.
Decorative pots are not always drilled, and that is the single most common reason a houseplant fails in one. The safest method is to leave the plant in its plastic nursery pot and drop that inside the decorative pot as a cover, lifting it out to water and letting it drain before it goes back. Only the pond print pot in this range is supplied with a matching saucer. If you would rather plant directly into a pot, add a layer of grit or broken crock at the base and water sparingly, because there is nowhere for excess to go.
The vases here are sealed and are meant for cut flowers, dried stems or a single stem display, and they are not suitable for planting because there is no drainage at all. The single stem and book shaped vases suit a narrow shelf or a bedside table. The novelty shapes, particularly the disco ball, cowboy boot and ghost vases, tend to be bought as gifts and displayed empty as often as they are filled. Terracotta pots left outside over winter can crack if waterlogged soil freezes inside them, so bring the Lisa Parker bronze designs under cover in hard frost. The slate garden signs are the exception in the range, being genuinely weatherproof, and they work well pushed into a border or a raised bed. For matching indoor pieces, see our boho home decor range. All orders ship from our UK warehouse with a 30 day returns window.
Klevaro is an independent UK retailer, and every pot and vase here is listed with its dimensions so you can match it to a plant before you order rather than after. We are clear about which pieces drain and which do not, because that is what decides whether a houseplant survives its new pot. Orders leave our UK warehouse quickly with a 30 day returns window.
