Brass and Chrome Tripod Floor Lamps

The standout pieces in this collection are the floor lamps. Seven brass and chrome tripod floor lamps cover both finishes: an antique brass folding tripod spotlight, a brass plated lamp with a wooden tripod, a plain brass plated floor lamp, a chrome tripod lamp, a fixed chrome tripod floor lamp, a caged chrome spotlight and a chrome tripod spotlight. The spotlight heads tilt, which makes them useful as reading lights beside a chair rather than only as ambient corner lighting. These are Klevaro and Artisan lines rather than gift stock.

Choosing Between Brass and Chrome

Brass and brass plated finishes read warmer and sit better against wood, leather and darker paint, which is why the antique brass folding spotlight suits a study or a snug. Chrome is cooler and more reflective, so a caged chrome spotlight or a chrome tripod works better in a light room with white or grey walls and metal or glass furniture. Tripod bases need floor space, roughly half a metre across, so measure before ordering. Matching pieces sit in furniture and home decor.

Rechargeable Worklights, Lanterns and Pen Lights

The portable side of the collection is entirely Rolson Tools. Three decorative pieces complete the range. A three to four kilogram Himalayan salt lamp gives a warm amber glow from a natural pink rock salt shade and suits a bedside table or hallway. Two electric aroma lamps, a Christmas village design and a dark forest print, warm a fragrance dish with a bulb rather than a flame, which is the safer option in a room with children or pets. Placing Lighting Around the Home

A single overhead light rarely does a room justice, which is why a tripod floor lamp in a corner changes how a living room reads at night far more than a brighter bulb overhead does. Put the tilting spotlight heads where someone actually sits and reads, and use the fixed tripods for general corner light. Keep the salt lamp and the electric aroma lamps low, on a bedside or hall table, where a soft glow is the point rather than illumination.
